2026 Bonneville T120 Service Interval Reset

Purchased a new 2026 Bonneville T120 at the end of May. I have since put 600 miles on it and changed the oil. I intend to change the oil and oil filter at an additional 1,400 miles then at at an additional 3,000 miles. Thereafter, I will change the oil and filter every 5,000 miles.

To avoid the expense of having a dealer reset the interval I would like to reset it myself. It is a hassle of riding 500 miles round trip to visit a dealer for this simple task.

Triumph on other models and years used an OBDII 16 pin diagnostic interface to access the ECU, not on the 2026 Bonneville T120. It appears that the diagnostic interface is an eight pin interface.

I have already purchased a cheap Android phone, a Bluetooth 16 pin OBDII adapter, and paid for a TuneECU license while foolishly thinking YouTube videos were similar in layout to my motorcycle.

Has anyone on this forum found a diagnostic interface with bluetooth capability that will work on this model and year of Triumph? Another option would be a cable adapter between the Bonneville’s interface and a 16 pin OBDII interface. I thought I found one on Amazon but the 8 pin interface will not plug into the Bonneville interface for some reason.

Any assistance would be appreciated. This silly Triumph feature is beginning to make me regret buying it.

Thank you, I will look into it.

I don’t think that is the OBD connector.

I have a 2025 Tiger Sport 800 and I found the same connector and thought that it was the OBD port.

On further inspection I found a red 6 pin connector and this was the OBD port.

I would have a root round and see if you can find the same on yours

Parky, thank you. If it had been a snake it would have bit me. I ignored this as the port because it seemed like a regular connector with a press release tab.
