I couldn’t miss the chance to get out in decent weather. From North Somerset to Wiltshire to one of my favourite places. After a run up Lyneham Bank which was rebuilt when it disappeared down the hill. It only took two years but you get extensive views over North Wiltshire.

The REME museum at Lyneham but primarily their cafe. Coffee and Bacon in a toasted brioche bun.

A quick look around but it is a fairly static museum and not much changes.

Onwards to the next location in Wiltshire. Avoncliff. Very nice pub called ’The Cross Guns’ which only opens when the landlord decide to do so.

Very pretty location where the Kennet and Avon canal crosses a river and the railway to Salisbury and Southampton.

And then home to refuel and put the bike away before the rain comes.

Never heard of that museum before, any good? Pictures look good

The museum is very interesting but a little static as exhibit rarely change. Very friendly and helpful staff. There are some hands on stuff and the firearms exhibit is impressive in its size.

The cafe is excellent with good food and coffee. Used by many military people so can’t be all that bad. Very large carpark and is visited by many bikers.
