This sub-category is a thematically linked sequence of musically based items with a motorcycle theme. Click the ‘Read more…’ link below to find out how it works.
If you’re familiar with Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie’s BBC 6 Music show, you’ll know about The Chain. It’s the longest thematically linked sequence of musically based items on the radio.
This is how it works on the forum:
Create a new topic (thread) that has a connection to the one posted the previous day and some reference to motorcycles. It could be in the title, a lyric, a band member who once owned a motorcycle or one in the music’s video…anything provided it’s verifiable! Lateral thinking and internet search engines are your friends. Check The Chain archive to get an idea of what sort of links people come up with.
New topics are queued and not visible immediately. One will be released every day from suggestions received. First come, first served but particularly entertaining links may jump the queue.
When you submit a reply, explain the connections and add a link to Youtube or some other openly available site that doesn’t require an account to listen.
All unused replies will be released at the end of October so nothing will be lost.
