Bruuuuing………

So as the picture in this group has a bar showing I can only add the fact I’m making my second batch of vintage cider from scratch using free apples. I did a first batch last year with an interesting learning curve and prior to that I did three easy peesy kits which were fun but no where near as satisfying as fallen apples from fresh.

Isn’t he a bit young for scrumpy?

He is, but he’s nearly as tall as Eric…

But taller than you?

I brewed my own beer for years, very satisfying. I did a batch once that I named “retour de France” - that was so strong it made you cycle backwards…

Noooooo, he’s less tall than me. Not by much but an important difference. I’m probably thicker than him though

Hey, none of this heightest talk. Height isn’t everything!

It should be “you’re” not “your” so maybe I’m not after all :rofl:

I’d noticed that, but elected not to comment… :joy:

You know i first drank scrumpy at the Bath and Southwest show around 1984 /85. Didn’t know then it was alcoholic. We were camping at a campsite run by an elderly gent called Lukies. He liked the bikes and duly gave us all a couple of bottles of this scrumpy. Well from that first drink i remember nothing other than i apparently tried to strangle my Tracy. The boys had to calm me down and get me to my tent. Twenty-four later one of the people i was with had to hire a van to take me and my bike home. And i still don’t remember any of it.

Well, it’s three weeks or so now bubbling away on batch 2 and I’ve started yet another batch (3) on Sunday just gone as it’s fun!!
This time I’ve modded my production line with a plywood base to hold it all down as everything was ‘on the move’ as I was using it.

Love it when it’s TAX free drinking!!
