Going to the Pyrenees?

I don’t believe this affects the N-260 commonly used, but not good and a bit surprising, I thought Spain was generally pro bike.

That’s a bit shit, but all of you riding along today with your noisy exhausts and CAT removals, think on. This is about perception, not facts. Noisy bikes are the boat people of motoring, easy target for some indignant harrumphing, and the vote catching that follows on behind. We’ve been close to this in some of our national parks, maybe just a matter of time. :slightly_frowning_face:

That is bad news for anybody looking ride/explore the area. There are fantastic roads and scenery to be missed with this ban.

I can say both my bikes are on standard silencers. They both make a nice noise. Why would I want to annoy others with an offensively loud pipe?

What a masturbatory thing to do. I’m sure the hotels won’t appreciate the loss of income.

For once it’s not about France :grinning:

That’s a real surprise. Many performance cars have noisier exhausts than bikes yet they are not banned…

I think the problem with bikes is the loud (after market) exhaust combined with a 12k rpm rev limit. Cars don’t normally have this particularly unpleasant combination!
