Hi from the far north of Scotland

Living near John o Groats and owning a bunch of bikes. The relevant ones for this forum are the Harris Bonneville no.44 and my (under construction) slimline Triton. ‘63 frame with a ‘52 Iron head 6T motor.

Looking forward to getting involved

Hi IanJ. Welcome to the forum! What a beautiful part of the world, and bikes to match. Great to have you along.

Thanks, here is ‘tother one.

The motor is on the bench at the moment. Just got the last parts to put it back together. It’s a small bearing motor which isn’t ideal but I’ve done what I can to upgrade and future proof it.

Thanks, not original paint on tank, the rest is mostly.

I’ve spent about 3 years chasing down all the original type parts that had been lost. Paioli shocks, Magura switch gear and front master cylinder, I have a brand new pair of Lafranconi exhausts. Bumm replica mirrors and the really expensive cheap plastic indicators.:grimacing:

Bienvenue, Welcome,

You live in a stunning part of Scotland. My daughter was in John 0 Groats a few days ago (driving the NC500).

Nice bike!

She will have passed our place, we live at the top of the hill at Auchengill.

This is the view from the window overlooking Sinclaire bay and Beatrice windfarm.

I’ve no plans to replace the Akront rims and stainless spokes for the rubbish Italian ones that Les fitted.:joy:

They were there last wednesday (1st wedding anniversary.. yes she married an englishman  )
