Decided that with the good weather it would be good to try The Silver Fox Cafe at Newnham on Severn (GL14 1JB). Escaping Bath and headed to Nailsworth and Stroud. On to Gloucester where you travel through the centre to get to the A48. Not far then to the cafe.
Strange stuff in the garden and the worst carpark surface you could have for a biker cafe.
The food and coffee are good and the toilets clean and presentable.
Met an old guy in the carpark with an old BSA. Gave him a hand to park as he was struggling on the surface. Good chat for ten minutes.
Onwards down to A48 to Chepstow, over the first Severn Bridge and up to Thornbury. A ride down the A38 which was a disaster as they are creating cycle lanes over one third of the carriageway. Back lanes to Yate and home via Pucklechurch and Wick.
