CoyoteChris from Spokane here. Trying to learn how to post on this forum . A screen keeps blanking out what I type. I am 77 years young, have riden continually since 1964 and have 3 bikes. 2014 FJR that is gaining weight due to increased gravity effects of earth
A 2017 XT Vstrom, and a 2015 Honda VFR, all set up for touring. The FJR loaded with camping gear is just too top heavy for paddling around, even though I am tall. Did not fall at gas stations or paddling down slight hills this last tour to South Dakota two weeks ago but was un steady. I am buying a gently used 900 GT Pro to replace it. I will be driving to Oshkosh Wisconsin in a week or so , so I will be rare but hope to take delivery this coming week.
Hi Chris. Welcome to the forum! I’m not sure what the issue is you’re having but if it persists PM me and we’ll sort it out.
Welcome in dude
A post was split to a new topic: Tiger valves
Hi and welcome.
Hi and welcome, nice introduction..
Welcome
. It’s good here, enjoy the forum and the new bike .
Wonder if someone could explain what “this topic will automatically close in six days” means? If this for just memeber introductions or every issue brought up? If I ask a question about how everyone deals with buckets and shims or throttle body synch, does it go away after six days also?
A closed topic means no one can reply. The new members section is just for introductions.. I’ll move your post about the bike to the workshop category.
Hi and welcome to the forum ![]()
Welcome Chris!
Thanks to everyone! I have decided to wait a bit and buy a new T. in all probability. The Desert edition is a nice well equiped bike and only needs panniers. I still have my XT Vstrom and my VFR to finish out this touring season.
I hope YOUR riding season is longer than mine. A postal package leaked on my VFR today so I took the panniers off and cleaned the bike. If I am lucky, i will get two more tours in this year.
