Bit of sad ending for one of the most underrated British rock bands. Seen them many times and never seen a poor performance.

My mate was a big UFO fan back in my uni days in the late 70’s.
I went to see them a few years back at The Brooks, basically a converted pub in Southampton.
Imagine the volume!

Hope he makes a full and succesful recovery - time to give up the rock and roll lifestyle, methinks.
They were a brilliant band and I saw them a number of times - memorably when Michael Schenker was lead guitarist. Their past line-up members list reads like a who’s who of rock royalty … including Jason Bonham!

Schenker was a brilliant guitarist but I thought Paul Chapman was a better fit with the band and Pete Way was an out and out nutter! Even Ozzy thought he was mad!
