For those of you not in North America, you may not know that there are a bunch of wild fires going on in Canada and they are having a hell of a time getting ahead of them. I’ve lived in Northern Michigan for 76 years now and I have never seen the kind of smoke and ash we are getting here and from what I understand, it’s going all the way down to Indiana and Illinois too. It’s so bad the Henry Ford museum complex closed the Greenfield Village and I was out this morning for a short ride and the smoke was pretty bad. At thi time we don’t know how long this will last until the weather changes and it blows out of here.

I’ve been hearing about it from some people living there via Mastodon and Bluesky.. It sounds very concerning and there have been wildfires reported from various places around the world. Times are changing, as predicted.

Of course, it’s a hoax because the Scientific Community is out to get Trump. What we cal Trump around my parts is He’s the Hoax and a nut that fell off the tree. All humor aside, the way things have gone so wrong all around the world and practically all four corners of the U.S., it doesn’t bode well for our future. I’m wishing my family had not decided to emigrate to the U.S. from Canada in 1930. I still have relatives backm in Ontario maybe they would adopt me back.

Yup, I saw quite a few verges ablaze in Spain last month.
Now Trumps mad at Canadia and is threatening more sanctions. It could have a detrimental effect on the World Cup final. Shame.

It’s all over. France is also impacted since a couple of years by wildfires, and that year it’s worst than ever. Yesterday 2 firemen were trapped in their service truck and burnt. Vendée, Landes, Var, it burns everywhere, even there in the Alps where a 23 years old fireman died in service 2 weeks ago .. No rain for weeks, tramontane and mistral wind, some idiots throwing cigarettes from their car window, etc..
A direct consequence of global warming (you know that supposed hoax). That remind me some heated conversations on another forum years ago with a bunch of mad men.
My cousin just changed his mobile home for a new one that year to enjoy his retirement. Half of the camping burnt, the bad half. The good thing is he could escape with his wife and the 2 grandson in time, and save his car. That happened 10th of July in “La Plaine Sur Mer” on the west coast near Pornic.
We have no choice than adapting our environment to those changes.

I was out riding two days ago and passed through at least 3 wooded areas popular with visitors, and smelt campfires and barbecues in them all.
The climate may be changing, but people remain as stupid as ever.
