Starting to think about the timing cover
This is what I’ve got;
This one have been chromed and I’m in the process of stripping it off.
The second one has damage on the crank spigot boss. The mod I want to make here is the addition of an oil seal that is supposed to improve oil pressure. They don’t have enough material around the boss so will need more alloy tig? Welding to re-enforce to accept the circlip. A trip to the machine shop.
Still not got around to taking the new pots down to Inverness for measuring yet but I’ve been mocking up the front mudguard after fitting longer brake line and lifting the clip ons high up the tubes.
I’m just waiting for a second hand tyre to arrive as the one on it is too big. It’s just for mock up as I didn’t fancy shelling out nearly 200 quid if I decided on a different size later.
Struggled a bit to get the front tyre off but the rim isn’t in bad nick.
Dunlop racing whoopy cushion. It just for mock-up so I’ll be stuffing it back in.
And I’ll be taking these into the bike shop and they can do it.
