What have you done to your non Triumph today

Rode the Dukes Pass then the Crow Road, after lunch and a lot of bike chat in Aberfoyle - one regular has changed his CL500 for an admittedly lovely Moto Guzzi V7. No accounting for taste!

Coos? Do you mean kye?

I don’t know what kye means…. I just meant the cows because of an earlier post!

Those are Shetland, no?

So glad someone is getting out and enjoying the weather! I saw loads of bikes heading out for a ride when I was driving home from work tonight! Talk about jealous

Aye it’s been a tough day

Down here, kye is the plural of cow, e.g. a field full of kye. I grew up with a father who used local Scots words a lot. It appears in some of Burns’ poems. Still in use, I think. :slightly_smiling_face:

Don’t know about Shetland, Wim. See my last post.

Interesting. So ‘kye’ for ‘cattle’ is obviously a far more widespread term than just in Galloway and Ayrshire. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Out with an old pal for his first proper ride for a long while. Only had the GSXR for a couple of weeks.

He was nervous but really enjoyed it he said

Just noticed this is in the wrong thread!

Please can you move it to the What have you Done with Your Triumph Today thread @Octoberon

You’ve got some nice countryside on your doorstep.

Nice rideout with a pal today, passing the top of Loch Earn with the Mirrorman statue and ending as usual at the Aberfoyle biker cafe.

Unusually I wasn’t on the smallest bike there today!!

Red is well known to be the fastest colour….

I imagine they come with complementary brown trousers. I assume the little girl wasn’t riding pillion…

I have to say that your Honda looks rather nice. :slightly_smiling_face:

This is mad.

Sprung a fuel leak on my Moto Morini. Looked like the left hand tap so I fitted a new washer and nipped it up and seems fine. A couple of days later and another pool of BPs finest on the floor.:face_with_symbols_on_mouth: Empty the tank again and took it off. Upside down and this is what I find.

It looks like a core plug that’s been glued in with some plumbing putty.:weary_cat:

So being the type to throw money at a problem rather than fix it, I scored a job lot of parts on eBay including these;

Very lucky timing, these and other parts in the lot are very hard to find, almost impossible in the UK. The tank is perfect apart from the colour. The side panels are the wrong year and are pretty toasty. But it gets me back on the road for now.

Here’s a treat, a bit of engineering porn for you that was in the lot. A pair of really clean Heron heads.:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Here’s what the bike is supposed to look like.

Duel seat? I’ll be the judge of that!
