My son sent me this earlier
He is thinking of getting it, giving it an MOT and selling on. He doesn’t ride bikes so not as he could use it. Starts and runs but been left for a while. Is it worth the risk? Would it sell?
Cheers in advance ![]()

Risk is different to everyone… to a golden pocket near retiree… whose debts are minimal and time is free and easy… minimal risk! Worst is you’d lose £500!
To a young blood wanting to learn about working on bikes… titivating it to MOT standard, then the anguish of trying to sell on… he may lose £200 ish overall, but will gain experience… but in a good case scenario, he might even make £200ish AND experience…
How about going half and half with him… BUT he has to act upon your advice???
He is a trained quad bike/boat engine engineer so knows his way around stuff. He is usually pretty good at making cash on things like this but I wasn’t sure if there was demand for a 27 years old Tiger.
Still waiting to hear from the seller when we can see it!
That triple engine is pretty good, think it’sa close relative to the Legend I had… look after the sprag clutch with a new/strong battery. We’ve got Adie on here who knows a bit more about the triple engine (I think)

Did he go for it?
He bought a stone saw instead ![]()
He messaged the guy several times so we could look at it but never got any reply. Seems a strange way to try and sell something
Yeah, sounds like steer clear is a good idea.
