Lake District Recommendation, Please

Is that the Ruskin museum? Looks worth a visit, especially as the weather in November is not to be relied upon for outdoor activities.

The one I’ve been to is the Lakeland Motor Museum, Ulverston just off the A590 - at the bottom of Lake Windermere. It also has a Bluebird hall with speed record cars and boats (replicas I guess!), and various related displays.

I think the Ruskin museum is the one at Coniston - I’ve never been that far round - it’s quite a lot further from our usual digs!

The Ruskin museum has recently got the actual rebuilt Bluebird to display and yes, it’s in Coniston itself.
That photo at Bowness looks like a typical summer day in the Lakes. That’s why we all have webbed feet!

Ah, good job I checked! I’ve added it to the list.

It’s certainly a beautiful area. Here’s the view eastwards from the top of Wrynose Pass, which I took a few years ago.
