When I retired I did it at end of May so I got back all the tax on my two months of work in that tax year. Also timed my resignation so the notice period ended the day after a bank holiday Monday so my final salary was calculated to include a bank holiday weekend. :smiley:

By way of an update, I finished my employment on Thursday and I am now on unpaid leave until the official termination in April (for tax reasons).

I guess it’s too early to know how I’m going to feel about being “retired” but it feels pretty good so far :grin::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
