That’s a very uncluttered and smooth look for a bike. Looks well!
Nice bike there Steve. A bit late replying as I don’t frequent bike forums very much these days.
I’ve got like that too regarding chat on forums….
Always nice to see you when you do. We need more women bikers around here to balance out the old codgers.
Well I’m an old gimmer as well nowadays. Mind you I can still get on the bike (just)
Thanks Nikki, nice to see you popping up on here again!
The Honda has worked out well so far - 3200 miles since October. It’s not much lighter than the Tiger 900 but it feels smaller and more nimble. It’s perfect for most of my riding, mainly minor roads across the North York Moors and the Dales.
How’s the Honda doing now?
It’s doing very well thanks, coming up on 7000 miles now and on It’s second set of rubber. Can’t really find fault with it - possibly a bit lethargic under 4000 rpm but I’ve swapped out the 16 tooth front sprocket for a 15 tooth one.
This has improved things at lower revs and only adds around 300 rpm at motorway speeds, so not an issue you’d really notice.
My Speed Triple had 17 front, 45 rear. I went back to the OEM 18/43. Still plenty grunty, but much easier to keep the front wheel down…
Not too much of a problem with the Transalp
