A master on a 250cc GP bike, Max Biaggi never quite managed to reach the same heights on a 500cc or MotoGP machine and on this day in 2006 he announced that his career in the top class was over. He did pretty well in WSB though!

I was watching that race and nearly jumped off the sofa when he rather overshot that wheelie.
