Harley Davidson are going through something of a tough time right now but this isn’t their first rodeo.
In 1966, the September issue of Forbes magazine arrived with news that Harley-Davidson sales had gone from $16,000,000 in the fiscal year 1959 to $30 million in 1965. Which sounds like good news, except Honda sales in America jumped from $500,000 to $77 million in the same period. By 1966 the that sales figures had climbed to $106 million.
