Toprak Razgatlıoğlu was born in Alanya, Turkey in 1996, the second son of his stunt-riding father.
Toprak’s championship success began with his first race in the European Superstock 600 in 2014. He won it, and the following year, won the championship title, racing a Kawasaki ZX-6R
2016 saw Toprak move up to the European Superstock 1000 class on a ZX-10R, still winning races and missing out on the title by just 8 points in 2017.
Toprak hit the global stage in 2018, still on a privateer Kawasaki, moving in to the World Superbike championship.
A switch to Yamaha in 2020 pushed his career onwards and he clinched the title in 2021 on an R1.
After four years and 37 wins with Yamaha, Toprak made a suprise move to the supposedly less competitive BMW. ‘Supposedly’, because he took his second WSBK title on the M1000RR in 2024.
The 2025 title is well within his grasp but either way, he won’t be sporting the number 1 plate in WSBK. 2026 will see a final upward move when, after years of speculation, Toprak finally joins the MotoGP paddock, back on a Yamaha, riding for Pramac.
