In 2008, Triumph hosted their Global Dealer Conference in Birmingham, England. They confirmed the manufacturer was on track to top 50,000 sales, exceeding the previous record of 46,700 set during Triumph’s ‘golden era’ in the 1960s.
An expanded range of products was annnounced but the highlight of the conference was the unveiling of the new Triumph Thunderbird, with a 1599cc parallel twin engine and 85hp.
