Triumph Engineering Co Ltd officially went bankrupt in 1983. Incorporated in 1906, their 77 year manufacturing run came crashing down after years of difficulty competing with the new Japanese machines, including the Honda CB750 that ate in to their market for larger capacity bikes, and the business decisions taken by Denis Poore.
