30 October - (Another) Triumph Trident Unveiled

The production version of the latest bike to carry the Triumph Trident name was released to the press and journalists in 2020.

Following a four-year development programme, the Triumph Trident prototype was revealed at the London Design Museum on 25 August 2020. To disguise the final form, the prototype was painted all white except for the engine.

A further, less-disguised and fully running prototype was released to the press a few weeks later, and showed the motorcycle undergoing final testing.

That engine turned out to be an updated version of the Triumph Daytona 675, with a slightly shorter stroke, and a raft of new components including the crank, pistons, gudgeon pins, cylinder liners, cylinder head and cams.

Why did they bother to put passenger footpegs?

Yup, pointless. We removed them… Much cleaner look, too.
