Except not quite. In 2014, Carl was Down Under again, having accepted an offer to enter the jungle and take part in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, even though he wasn’t, by his own admission, much of a people person or comfortable in groups.
No doubt the producers thought he might just bring some friction and fireworks for viewers entertainment. But they and Carl were wrong - this was a Foggy we hadn’t seen before. Still not one to back down from a challenge, still brimming with Northern grit, but genuine and emotional and…likeable.
In the country where he first reached the top in 1994, Foggy was crowned ‘King’ in Australia one more time, by popular opinion.
