Gone batshit over there again

Donā€™t suppose it did any good at all but I replied to ā€œShafiqā€ hoping his arse becomes infected with a hornetā€™s nest. Made me feel better anyway

Iā€™m trying not to plug this alternative forum (and its many benefits :slightly_smiling_face:) too much on TTF. Though I would never discourage anyone else from doing so.

Yes spam is an increasingly piss me off problem on TTF :rage:

I just use the ignore feature and they go away.

So do some of the new members, unfortunately. Itā€™s not a good image and indicative of a forum not being managed, which is a concern with any service, particularly one that is asking for money.

The ā€˜IGNOREā€™ function is the ONLY way (that I can see) of doing anything about the spam on the other place but even that fails sometimes - clicking on the spammers ā€˜iconā€™ has no effect so it canā€™t be ignored.

It would, I assume, be SO simple to make every new subscriber wait or sign up to some form of notional code of conduct - anything to make it impossible for an automated routine to achieve a successful, immediate message posting.

Still, it drives people here so it canā€™t be ALL bad, can it?

I genuinely do find it amazing that people actually view them?
Not all of them but one had 16 views the other day.

You have to view it in order to report it, so I guess thatā€™s the reason why

Ah! Thank you. I always hit the ignore bit and then refresh.
Thatā€™ll explain it :ok_hand:
Another hit on driving licence/passport/viagra/Russian wives today again it seemsā€¦

Because reporting it makes all the differenceā€¦
