I’m toying with the idea of a week or a bit more riding to the Eifel in Germany, prob next May/June. Anyone been there? Advice on routes, hotels, places to visit most welcome. Am l better using one or two accommodation stops or doing daily stops as l travel? Fire away…
I passed through Eiffel a year ago on way from Rotterdam ferry to my first night in the Moselle valley. Threw in a waypoint on satnav for the L15 road that passes across between reservoirs in the area wherebthe map conour lines go all squiggly. Well worth the detour to my route. Not much help to your planning I guess.
We spent a long weekend in Monschau a couple of years ago - I’ve got a gpx of a nice round trip taking about three hours starting and ending there if that’s of any use?

A word of warning - there are NO supermarkets/greengrocers open on Sundays. I found this out to my detriment and had to go shopping for supplies in Belgium on a Sunday morning…

Thanks chaps, been an up and down year really, a few health issues but you just keep putting one foot in front of the other, as they say.
I had a look at a few rider sites etc, and TBH looking at the roads and scenery, l could do just as well in Scotland, probably get two or even three trips in for similar cost. D and G definitely deserves a visit, and when l get my Z1000 back in the UK the NC500 is possible. Couldn’t do it on that Bonnie though. Ah well, all winter to cogitate…
