Bike magazine - Bike Of The Year 2023

I’ve just been reading Bike magazine’s Bike of the Year 2023 feature. They seem to have taken a slightly different approach; instead of picking the supposed ‘best’ bikes according to some statistics or other, they’ve created a top ten based on which new bike they’d like to ride. Here’s the list.

  1. Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello
  2. Suzuki GSX-8S
  3. Honda CB750 Hornet
  4. BMW M1000R
  5. Suzuki V-Strom
  6. BSA Gold Star
  7. Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally
  8. Yamaha Tracer 9 GT
  9. KTM 890 SMT
  10. Triumph Street Triple R

Thoughts?

I’ve not ridden any of them, but I seriously doubt I would be blown away with numbers 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8.

I assume they are all bikes launched in 2023 as I can’t believe they are the 10 best bikes you could buy in 2023!

They’re the bikes they most like to ride rather than the ‘best’. It’s hugely subjective but perhaps the criteria we all apply in the end.

I’d certainly like to ride the Guzzi that they place at number one.

Me too. I rode a big Guzzi years ago on a trip around the UK. I’d like to see how this one compares. I saw one parked up just after they launched and it looked good in white.

The 1200 Tiger explorer is not on that list! They must not have ridden it! :see_no_evil::rofl:

That is a left field set of bikes……!
Nice to see that they are not basing their choices on 0-Tescos times and how fast a bike laps the bypass…!

Pleased to see one of my bikes on there and particularly which specific model they chose.
