I made a similar day with the Gendarmerie a few years ago.
That was interesting as well as frightening.
Those guys could take the mountain road on their FJR making something touch the road at every corner 
That was cool to ride way over the limit and being allowed to do it. I almost died at every corner

Have to say the Bike Safe one day course is a fantastic experience for both new and more established riders. It is well worth attending a course if you can fit in.
