Bridal Veil Falls

Had some fine weather approaching, so invited Waikato to join us in a ride to Raglan on the West coast.

I had never been to Bridal Veil falls, so we met at the local junction and made our way to the falls.
Top platform is a 10 minute walk from the carpark, whilst the spectacular view from the bottom is a 30 minute trek.

Once we had seen the falls, we walked back through the lovely fresh air of the forest with mist hanging around, and headed to Raglan for lunch.

After good conversations catching up with the Waikato crew, we headed to Whatawhata for a quick brew, then home

Blimey, I’ve been to bridal veil falls too- but in the black hills at the head of spearfish canyon.

There was thick fog for 40 miles there and some rain on the way back, but best break we have had for months
