Im A decent music composer using noteflight and flat to make my own music
Iāve dabbled - in the 70ās with work friends and a 4-track tape recorder, on my own with a desktop computer and digital keyboard, and most recently with friends in a rehearsal studio.
All for our own enjoyment I hasten to add!

I usually create what i can for example as a youtuber i tend to include music in my videos so i make the socres for the video

Iāve played in a rock covers band for several yearsā¦ but during Covid entertained myself by writing a song, performing it, recording it, producing it and releasing itā¦ imagine my surprise when it tied in with the feeling of the nation and rocketed up the charts to the number one spot!

You can listen to it on all major music providersā¦ Apple to YouTubeā¦ all you have to do is find it! Iāll give you a couple of clues..
A) itās named after a local geographical feature
2) the āsingle coverā features my dear departed dog 
iii) my pseudonym is a local place name!

A little story about it that I had forgottenā¦ the local radio station CandoFM made a big thing about promoting local artists, so I sent it in for a laugh and ego tripā¦ and received the politest hoof int knackersā¦
Regrettably the CandoFM scrutiny panel have not approved your track ā***********ā for inclusion in the Local Artist Playlists.
The Panel members offer the following feedback ;-
On a positive note they liked the 6/8 metre in the song and the folky vibe but they felt the first 3 minutes of the track were very repetitive and the melody seemed to be the same throughout - they said they almost lost interest. They are not sure they want to hear this on the radio in its present form.
The panel wondered if you were maybe singing out of your range - in your speaking pitch ā perhaps you have got a higher pitched singing voice but are not aware of this. The person on backing vocals is much more resonant and if this is same person on lead vocal there may be issue with production!
The panel members do believe this track would benefit from guidance and coaching from South Lakes Rock School (SLRS) and they would welcome receiving it again?
I strongly recommend you seek the assistance of SLRS and let me have the revised version when ready.

Iāve had better reviews from my children following me into the bathroom after dropping a 
!!!
But it does show that music is so different to everyoneā¦ I knew it wasnāt Led Zep, but I didnāt ever think it was awful! But clearly it canāt stand up to the rigours of local radio standardsā¦ so be careful @Snow ā¦ Iām a prime example of how a heroic musical talent can be decimated by an uncaring industryā¦ shot down in the prime (52) years of my lifeā¦ the world is a hollower place now, an Orwellian nightmare !!!

My first experience to hear myself playing on a local radio is from the eighties.
I had a good friend FranƧois that was singer in a local āhard rockā band called ābloodbathā.
In Le Mans there was a music store with a small recording facility. That band booked one day to record a few titles.
That day my parentās phone rang. FranƧois calling from the āstudioā.. āHubert we have not enough money to pay a second day at the studio and the guitar player canāt nail the guitar solo on one of the track, take a guitar and comeā.. No car, I call a āgirlfriendā that has a car and she drives me there. I plug my āAria Pro II cardinalā into a big Orange amp, do my stuff, and back home.
No news.. Weeks later, on the local radio I listen to the track, with my solo. No one ever mentioned my name on the tape jacket 
Hopefully the band was not really good and they never been further than a song on a local radio. No trial needed
