Category Reorganisation

A few changes have been made to the categories to consolidate and simplify posting on the forum. Some new tags have also been introduced.

You can post in the main, top-level, categories (with one or two exceptions). Some topics get their own sub-categories because there’s either a lot of posts on that subject (rideouts, for example), or just because it makes it easier to browse for particular subjects (e.g. insurance).

Here’s what’s changed:

Other Manufacturers is now Other Motorcycles

Nothing else has changed. This is where you can post about any types of motorcycle other than Triumph.

Riding is now Motorcycling.

Changed to fit the broader content. From travel and adventure, including favourite roads and places to visit, to the practical stuff like insurance and training. This is where you’ll find posts on the experience of being a biker, whatever you ride.

  • Rideout Announcements has been merged with Rideouts & Touring
  • Track Days posts have been moved in to the main category and the sub-category removed.
  • Insurance & Breakdown posts have been moved in to the main category and the sub-category removed.

Workshop sub-categories have been merged up.

Where the posts were in sub-categories previously they’re now tagged to help find and filter what you want to see.

Marketplace sub-category change

The Feedback sub-category has been removed.

Motorcycle Sport sub-categories merged

  • Posts from the sub-categories are now all in one place and tagged with the relevant sport. This provides more flexibility and still allows people to find what they want.
  • The MotoGP News and World Superbike News sub-categories are read-only and not yet in use.

Events sub-category changes

Nothing changing except some tinkering with the names. As you were.

Organisations and Clubs merged and moved!

This is now a sub-catory or Motorcycling. All the existing posts have been merged in to this one sub-category and tagged, which means we can add new places from anywhere in the world and people will be able to find what’s relevant to them.

The Regulars Lounge is now the Regulars Clubhouse.

Just a name change, nothing else.
