So I am a new rider and I am struggling to find what I am looking for in a pair of riding pants. I work in an office and have been commuting on my bike and just wearing my Bull-It jeans. I moved to the main office recently and the attire is expected to be more office professional. I will need to wear wool slacks on a daily basis. I am looking for some overpants with abrasion protection that will fit over some slacks. Every time I think I find something good I find out it is just water resistant and not abrasion resistant. Anyone know of anything that will fit my needs?
Try google with something like this.
I used to just get changed when I commuted by bike, over trousers tend to be just that and waterproof only as you need any armour held close to your skin. It’s no use if it will move around because it’s in a looser outer layer with trousers underneath. You could also go the other way and wear your armour under your work trousers - companies like Knox and Pando Moto do armoured tights / shorts etc that you can wear whatever you like over. It would likely get hot wearing them all day though so I’d still probably just opt for riding in my bike kit and changing once there, it only takes a few minutes.
I think Aerostich suits are popular in the US and it seems there is similar available from RevIt https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/793439?glCountry=GB&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17337369036&gbraid=0AAAAAD9yAK9wCNHhjTL_Aiv5YTRcF0XBl&gclid=Cj0KCQjws4fEBhD-ARIsACC3d28G4vJsGfs8lCxgK0EUn11vyQgxo4ebnV8DABvab69kEcNMRDPMQfwaAug3EALw_wcB
I think I’d still go for the getting changed option again as a close fit in an oversuit would likely just crease your work clothes up anyway…
This thread might be of some help.
