Definitely a real talent.
A female one by the looks of things
I’ve had this open/used lacquer hanging around for about a year now. It’s a new sort of 2 Pack (harderner included) that mixes somehow at the nozzle.
Other 2K lacquers do have the two parts but have a button that breaks the harderner in the can - these have a short shelf life as they go off in the can.
This new type is a game changer (assuming it still works)
No more need of compressor, spray gun, mixing, cleaning etc to get that petrol resistant clear coat. It’s quite expensive at about £26 a can but what a revelation to small time amateur painters and just the job for motorcycle stuff. They also do 2 part epoxy primers that go on really nicely. I recommend them.
Light and first coat on. We’ll see how it’s doing after lunch and stick some more on.
No problem in this context.
That really is looking incredible.
That’s that then
Fixed the fuel level sight back on, found some painted caps.
Could’ve done with another couple of coats of lacquer but it was to try out the car rep stuff and my welding on a tank - which seems fine. Over and outish…
JUST BEAUTIFUL!
That’s some serious top end quality work. Well done @Iron. It’s not my sort of bike and I’ve probably said that before to you but the work is truly outstanding
