Dainese Smart Jacket D-Air airbagvest

It certainly looks like one of the more unobtrusive ones.

Fair few weeks ago we had our first warm sunny day of the year and was just thinking some poor bugger will likely hurt themselves today. Happens every year. Sure enough I was out cutting the grass and the air ambulance flew overhead heading for the north coast. Checked the news that evening and sadly I was right. Biker fatality on the north coast. I stay away from popular areas during popular times. Too many dick heads.

Same; our area has a really high rate of motorcycle injuries and fatalities and I can see why on lovely days.

They also do a long sleeve version (for men only) with level 2 shoulder and elbow armour

I wonder how hot those are in warm conditions?

Of course right here weā€™ll face those kind of weather pretty rarely.

Apparently theyā€™re blow-through - still warm though, Iā€™d guess.

What happens if your leathers are snug how will it expand?

if worn on the outside Iā€™m also guessing it prevents the use of a rucksack.

I always wear a rucksacl so the Helite Moov is my ideal I reckon.

I saw the rucksack ones; interesting idea. I prefer riding without one but if you always do it then it means you donā€™t need larger clothing or always wearing something over the top.

If worn on the inside thereā€™s supposed to be enough room to fit a golfball in between the jacket and the vest.

I canā€™t think of a reason why you would not be able to wear a rucksack over it.

Usually a rucksack is quite well fitted I was just thinking about the room to expand or lack of.
Iā€™ve not come across manufacturers data yet that gives parameters for a rucksack.
Time for me to do further research I think.

The helite rucksack can be slimmed down into a hydration amd airbag only so a lot more compact which appears to be a great idea.

I got mine too today. Still on promotion at Ā£430 (ā‚¬499). Iā€™ve not used it yet, but the mrs. has - she says it doesnā€™t impede her at all, and hardly notices itā€™s there.

Having picked up my Tiger today I wore my vest for the first time. I can now corroborate what the mrs. has said about it. I does not restrict movement, itā€™s light, and you do not notice itā€™s there at all. All in all a good investment I think.

Do you wear it over or under your normal jacket?

I wear it over - you can wear it under, but have to allow 2 inches of room or so if you do.
