My good riding buddy, his son and myself rode up through the Lakes yesterday, having the obligatory stop at the Filling Station in Keswick ![]()
On up to Gretna then another brew at the Devil’s Porridge Museum at Eastriggs. We went into the museum last visit and it’s an interesting little stop off for anyone interested in munitions history and lives during the war.
Using the fun option on the Beeline sent us on a windy, quiet roads journey to the Delveen Pass, which was worth every mile!
From there we dropped over and down for an overnight stay at the Buccleuch Arms in Moffat. Another excellent stay with great friendly staff and food to die for. I can heartily recommend the steak pie ![]()
This morning we started with a loop up the Grey Mare’s Tail to St Mary’s Loch then past the Megget and Talla reservoirs and back through Moffat before setting off for home.
First big ride out for the new Scrambler and I must say it was fantastic
. Never missed a beat, was comfy, plenty quick enough and showing 90 mpg average on the screen.
Excellent two days ![]()
