Rode to Burton Services to join the Dave Day ride back to Barrow. What a marvelous experience 
Thousands and thousands of bikes and the roads were lined by thousands of people cheering and clapping. Great day, not chance to get a picture of the procession but I am sure they will be everywhere

A great day I thought, Steve. The support from the crowds was brilliant.
I read some 20.000 bikes participated? That’s extraordinary!
I read this morning the police estimated 45 000!
Yeah I didn’t expect that level of enthusiasm!
I only had to ride one junction up the M6 to Burton and was getting waved as a solo rider from the crowds on the bridges
Apparently official figure is 46 136😲
God knows how they counted them
