Hello,
Just joined the forum and just bought (last week) an 05 Daytona 955i.
Been out for a couple of rides to give it a bit of a shakedown and noticed a flat spot around 5k, it has an after-market can/exhaust, so thinking it might be that.
I know it was a common fault with the earlier models, but wanted to check if anyone else has had a similar problem with a gen 2?
Thank you,
Johnny

Hi and welcome @Johnny
I have a gen 1 Daytona T595 and have seen this issue on and off. I know you asked about gen 2 owners but there are a few things I have tried that might help, and I don’t really know if just one of these contributed or fixed the issue last time.
- Replace stale fuel
- Split or perished vacuum hoses
- Replace fuel filter and check fuel hoses
- Check ECU for errors (I use TuneECU)
- Remap for aftermarket exhaust or put an original exhaust on to eliminate this as a potential cause
- Check/reset Idle Air Control Valve (IACV)
- Reset Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
Good luck

Welcome, Bienvenue! Geoff nailed it. Aftermarket exhaust means the ECU version map needs to be checked.
