I’ve only just noticed that I seem to own an inspection lamp from both East and West Germany
Seein as the wall came down in 1989ish it’s done quite well, takes normal what wattage would you like Mr Watts bulbs and works a treat. It must be worth an absolute fortune. I’ll have to have a chat with Fiona see what wattage she thinks. What what 
DDR stood for Deutsche Demokratische Republik, or, translated into English, the German Democratic Republic. So the DDR and the GDR were the same country.
Thanks @Dave49 , well I got that wrong. All parts were made in East Germany then (except the bulb). Almost as good as a Russian hat, not worth a light. I’m never gonna be a millionaire by this time next year.
