Dilemma time!

The rear suspension on that one doesn’t look standard, the standard suspension isn’t adjustable. Definitely try a standard one.

Something very wrong with that one then. Mine handled very sweetly on the standard suspension and tyres. The latest incarnation has better forks and might be more suited to your riding?

I agree. The demo I tried handled my bumpy b-roads test superbly. No complaints with the ride/handling compromise. It sounds like someone has tried to modify that one. Obviously not in a good way!

I’m not a fan of trying to change a bike into something it was not designed to be - The Speed Twin isn’t meant to be a naked sports bike, the Speed Triple 1200 RS is. I could have spent quite a lot of money trying to change the nature of the Triple, but what would be the point? It does the job it was designed to do supremely well.

The silver nut on the fork tops looks like its modified too… is that standard?

That doesn’t look right either, it’s just a flat large hex bolt on the standard fork tops. I’d say that’s been modified to.

Thanks guys. I knew it couldn’t be right as surely it’d have been observed by many of you prior.
I’ll give the newer one a go (but i’m sure that there’s zero wrong with the “older” one, as long as it’s standard or set up correctly of course!!!
