I’ll probably manage another ride or two this month, then I’ll put the bike in the garage until sometime in March… what’s that, 4-5 months depending on how quickly Spring arrives!

One is on the bike stand and off-road already (yes, @Tigcraft, I know…). The MV won’t get ridden if it’s wet and ‘orrible so I’ve been thinking about SORNing that and mothballing until the Spring. The Sprint is the workhorse so that stays on the road. I’ll probably keep the Street Triple available, too. For those odd days where the roads are good, you just have to wrap up warm.

My Tiger will be off the road as of 13th of December until the 1st of March, due to my insurance regulations. I’ll ride it until then whenever possible…

Definitely the last ride of the season for my 1981 LC after fitting a new aluminium radiator ready for next Spring. The bike now has drained carbs and a drained fuel tank with a fresh lining of 2-stroke oil. I’m hoping to prolong the life of the tank by preventing rust and pinholes. :crossed_fingers:

I’m still hopeful of getting a few more rides in before the salt man arrives, then it’ll get SORN’d and go in it’s vac bag to keep the condensation at bay until the beginning of March.

MV on SORN now. Only rode it a couple of times this year…..
Triumph stays taxed all year round in case we get a decent day or two….

So far we don’t have ice on the road, I’ll take the bikes. I don’t do long ride, and it’s way easier to park in town.
Rights now I suspend the rides, leaves are falling from the trees, and with the rain it’s the perfect mix to fall of the bike.

My Bonneville is now sorned, but the 900 remains fully available to ride. I only use road salt as the end of the season.

My house is up a mile-long track from the road. About half of it is rough and stony but OK. The other half is two wheeltracks with grass up the middle. The two wheeltracks have been gradually getting deeper and narrower, so I mostly ride on the grass. It rained hard at the beginning of the week. I had an appointment to get two new tyres fitted on Tuesday, but had to bottle out: riding on wet grass isn’t conducive to staying upright for very long. So I’m praying for a dry spell so I can go and get those tyres…

My bike will stay on the road as usual. You never know when we will get a decent day through the winter, so I’m always prepared lol

when I put them away for the winter I always put some fuel stabilizer in with the petrol I have done it for years probably wasting my money but it doesn’t do any harm. will petrol actually go bad after 5 or 6 months
