Laudable as it is in isolation until the top 5 emitters (China, USA, India, Russia and Japan) drastically reduce theirs the rest of us are just pissing in the wind. We’re about 18th on the world at the moment so the UK’s reduction amounts to not a lot, more political than practical

50% reduction in Carbon emissions, coupled with a massive increase in taxation on the back of it.
