How to Mute a Category

If you don’t want to see posts from a particular category or sub-category you can mute it in your user preferences. The effect is to remove the category or sub-category from the sidebar and main listing page. It’ll also hide all the posts from appearing on your homepage and elsewhere.

This is how you do it.

1. Click on your avatar.

2. Click on the icon at the bottom of the list that drops down

3. Then select Preferences.

4. Along the top of the preferences page select Tracking.

5. Scroll down the page and finf the Muted section. This is where you select any categories you don’t want to see. Click where it says Select... and either find the category in the list or type the name. When you see the category, click on it so it’s selected.

6. Finally, click on Save Changes.
