I’m not sold on the styling (particularly the front end) but I do agree that the Speed Twin would make an excellent starting point for a proper retro muscle bike with updated suspension, and 160hp/116ft-lb sure sounds like fun 
It’s already deceptively fast with ‘only’ 99hp/81ft-lb.
