IC-R Hi-Tech Helmets

Things I never thought I’d hear myself saying: “Oh I see, that helmet’s a bit cheaper because it has less memory.”

Twice as expensive as a top-of-the-range Arai is a lot of wonga. On the other hand, take of the price of a bluetooth intercom and camera. And if you order one before the end of the month you get another 20% off. Yeah, still expensive, but pretty cool and I like the integration of the kit and the HUD concept.

I do need a new helmet but these are currently made to order and I’d be very reuctant to purchase without trying one on for size.

You could probably buy my motorbike for that price

It’s nice to have comms (& camera) integrated into your helmet but there’s a “price” to be paid.
We’ve had universal Cardo bluetooth comms for years but when we renewed our Shoei GTair’s (for GT2’s) a couple of years back I got a bit carried away and added the integrated Senna kit adding about £250 per head.
Nice, but didn’t give much thought to the fact the comms gets binned along with the helmet next renewal (now GTair3 with revised comms ).
Another minor gripe is whole helmet is plugged in when charging, can’t detach the comms battery.
