It’s very quiet on here so I thought I’d have a gloat. I’m leaving home on Friday morning and heading down through Wales to the ferry at Fishguard. killing two birds with one stone, we will be collecting 4 landmarks for our annual challenge on the way. Llewelyn App Gruffyd’s final resting place, a concrete dam at Llyn Brianne, a colliery in Ebbw Vale, and a statue in public gardens in Cardiff. We have booked a cheapo bed and breakfast in Bridgend and then an easy ride westwards to the ferry for 14.00 on Saturday. Our daughter and her family are travelling on the same ferry and meeting us for 3 nights at Dingle for a bit of sight seeing and sampling of the black stuff. They have to get back for school, but we will stay out as long as the weather holds. May post pics if anyone is interested….
Bring on the pics. ![]()
Definitely we want pictures. Have a great time ![]()
Nice one dude!!! ![]()
Have a great time. Hope the weather isn’t unkind.
Great riding around the Dingle peninsula! And don’t miss the Gap of Dunloe if you have a chance. Do keep us updated please @TallPaul ! I’m off to Germany for a weekend in three weeks time, and have a trip to Spain planned last week of May/first of June. Roll on spring!
Great stuff! we are away to The Picos mid June with our club. 16 of us of which 5 are pillions, should be a hoot!
Darn it Paul, if only you’d told me sooner, I live about 5ml from Rosslare and you could have dropped in for tea and biccies and I could have shown you my Daytona!! Maybe next time!
And @TallPaul , where’s the pics?
The future I imagine… ![]()
The above joke will get less funny as the year progresses
I’m back!
We returned from Eire to find that BT had been in our terrace installing a new system for a neighbour and our own Internet was not working. After several weeks of emails and phone calls, they have finally owned up to the damage they caused and are coming to me on Wednesday to rectify the situation. I am currently on a very slow and hopefully, temporary connection. More news later. I missed you guys. I have some pics, which I know you have all been waiting for…
Look forward to the pictures
Well, that went as I had expected.
The engineer turned up early, good.
Said that I need a new cable, good.
He had the cable in his van, good.
He needed to go up the pole to replace the cable and had ladders, good.
H&S rules say he can’t use a ladder up the pole, he needs a cherry picker…which is 45 miles away in Staffordshire…
Next appointment Thursday next week.
No wonder this country is in deep shit.
That’s a bit disappointing…Yesterday in my hoteI I had no wifi for one evening here in Spain, which was annoying enough…
I bet you wanted to bury his bollocks in a bees nest
