In a Fantasy Garage Far Far Away

In a fantasy garage far, far away if a fan of light, fast, sleek sports type machines were to think of another type of machine that would better accompany a rider on a big cruiser…a Triumph Nightstorm for example…what sort of steed might suit them?

Speed Twin 900?
Street Twin 900?
Indian Scout Bobber?
Kawasaki Z900RS?
Kawasaki Z650RS?
Ducati Scrambler?

I like a few of the Royal Enfield 650s like the Bear and Guerrilla very much style - wise, but feel as if they’ll lack puff a bit, especially for those nippy not - much - room - to - spare overtakes…

A Honda Rebel is a HARD NO .

Before excitement builds…this is very much in the realms of “possibly, maybe, one day…”. I am just having fun looking around.

My fantasy garage would include only a few bikes with a focus on different styles. So it would include:
Adventure - Tiger 900 Gt Pro (my current bike)
Naked - Speed Twin 1200
Sport - Thruxton 1200 r
Cruiser - Thunderbird Lt or Storm
Retro - T120

My fantasy garage is pretty well stocked - The Tiger GT Explorer 1200 for long hauls, my lovely 2005 S3 for fun and daytrips/biking holidays with Jefta. If I was really greedy (and the fantasy garage had room for one more), an MV Agusta Brutale dragster wouldn’t go amiss…

I’d go for the Indian Scout, they’re nice bikes. Preferable to a Harley, in my book (or garage). Or maybe even the FTR.

The Scrambler is ok but I’m not sure I’d want to ride it all day alongside a cruiser. Other persons in this household disagree.

That Brutale is lovely and a good shout. They had one exactly the same at Completely Bikes where I bought my Sprint. I kept going back to it and, much like the Street Triple RS, the desire for one isn’t going away.

I love the FTR, but it’s another rapid, naked bike I guess. Beautiful though.

It is but it’s got that Indian-ness about it that’ll let you cruise, too.

Actually, in an attempt to answer that question, a (dare I say it?) Sportster is (in my experience, having done 200 odd miles on one riding around Morvern/Ardnamurchan) a very nice ride. And totally different from what you already own.

Because they’re going NOWHERE :skull:

You’ll be happy to get those two letters the right way round…

I do find fantasy garage stuff difficult… I can go either way… just 1 more bike or a whole rake of the buggers!

Just the one… we watched the transformation!

The rake of bloody others… the above 140… an RC30… xl500 classic… some Harley or other… a Laverda Jota 120… a Guzzi Le Mans… an MV Augusta 750s… CCM Spitfire… Suzuki Katana 1100… Kawker Z1 coffin tank… Steve Burns “Monster”… CBX1000 6 pot… RD350lc… TDR250… Africa Twin original and modern… John Surtees’ 1958 500 MV race bike… and of course a Brough SS100

And that’s just for starters… :innocent:

Agreed. A bike of pure beauty. Art.

Yup, wouldn’t mind one of those… Or a Benelli Sei…

That goes for my Triumphs too (even though I was recently offered good money for the S3 to swap it for a limited Kevin Carmichael 2010 special edition). And I very much doubt Jefta would part with her Trident.

Would you believe, honestly, I haven’t actually ridden it yet.
If you was closer you could borrow it for a few months to run it in.

It’s your bike dude! If you got half the pleasure making it, that we did watching you… owning it would be a pleasure in itself

I just realised I don’t think I answered the original question…
I wouldn’t say no to a Trumpet Bobber

For me it’d have to be a new hardtail 93 inch cone S&S shovel, beaut…
