Inner tube sizes

I know this sounds wrong but I have just been looking to get a couple of spare inner tubes for my 2021 t120..

So I googled “what size tubes would fit my bike”, and google has suggested that the inner tubes that I need for my bike are actually bigger than the actual wheel sizes ie.. my front is an 18” and rear 17”, but the suggestions from google were 19” for the front and 18” for the rear..

I’m now confused… and this has thrown me.. I haven’t had a bike with inner tubes since around 1980 ish.. So I was initially shocked that Triumph use Tubes still to this day… seems a wee bit antiquated..

So can any of you guys clarify what is the correct sized inner tubes for my 2021 T120 Bonneville?

The tire sizes are Front.. 100/90/18” And Rear.. 150/70/17”..

Many thanks for any help with this question..

I use Michelin inner tubes and if I google for “michelin inner tube 100/90 18 inch” and ignore Amazon links I get https://tyretectrading.co.uk/tyres/michelin-inner-tube-18mg/

And for the rear sizes: https://tyretectrading.co.uk/tyres/michelin-inner-tube-17mi/

TyreTecTrading are actually who I always use for tyres and inner tubes but there’s other places selling those parts, just google for “Michelin 18MG” and “Michelin 17MI”.

And I just found Michelin’s list of tubes with the tyre sizes they are for: Inner tubes for road motorcycle | MICHELIN United Kingdom
