When I purchased the bike I requested a quote from my current insurance. They flat out refused to apply my built up no-claim years to a new vehicle. I then started shopping around. I found an intermediate who was willling , if I moved my entire portfolio to them, to give me the full discount. As a result my current insurance for the other bikes, cars, house, liability and inventory will be cheaper, and I will be paying € 74 instead of € 304 monthly for all-risks coverage for the Explorer. Result!

Great result Wim. However I don’t understand why your insurer wouldn’t apply your no claims on the new bike. You have earned that discount by not making a claim. B@stards.
