All together now…Cracker track!
I know that the “original is best” maxim usually applies but, I have to say, that, for me at least, the version from Slade on “Slade Alive” encapsulates the real energy of the song in a far better way. And, of course, it showcases the fact that Slade really were actually very competent musicians and not just the “glam/pop” band they made themselves out to be for commercial purposes.

So this song opens either the lyrics
“Jap jap jap jap jap…” which is obviously a nod to John Alfred Prestwitch industries! (The rest of the song is more bothered about politics having more of a self serving slant than doing actual public good… so not many other Bike references there)
