Couldn’t find a live version with footage that’s watchable. There is one ‘video’ from 1980 at Sheffield’s City Hall. Coincidentally, I was there a few weeks ago to see Tom Allen. Not quite the same…

Finally got around to updating the Youtube playlist with all the songs from this thread, except the one or two aren’t available any more.

Because Mark Linkous reputedly said he named the band, in part, because it’s a loose metaphor for a motorcycle. Deliciously tenuous, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Great song, though.

The 1 minute I gave it was too generous in my opinion…

You did well to last that long.

Not my kind of bikes but definitely my kind of music (when I’m not listening to Classic FM!) and the sentiment’s 100% accepted and well distlilled into this track …

That was tedious, I didn’t get past the first line!

Excellent song but what’s the bike reference?

I like to play it when I ride? I suppose I refer to it as a “motorcycling song”… :winking_face_with_tongue:

He’s a traveller of both time and space…

Oh, pilot of the (thunderbird) storm who leaves no trace…

With no provision but an open face, Along the straits of fear…

That’ll do for me… :joy:

Listening to Joe Satriani Flying in a Blue Dream today, and there was track 13… Ride.

Another one - Motorcycle Driver off my favourite Satriani album, The Extremist. Instrumental, but there is a video!

Same track… extended version over some great TT footage!

If you don’t like rock guitar, press mute and watch the TT video anyway!!
