Has anyone got any Keis heated gear?
I was thinking of buying one of these, for use on the bike and also for golf? So I don’t really want anything too bulky but I do want something warm …
I bought an Anoopsyche heated vest from amazon at around £30 a couple of years ago, I use it on the bike and for work and it does me just fine. They are on ebay for £15 at the moment, You have to get a battery pack bit like USB charger for phones, I got 26800MaH does about 6-7 hours, depending on setting which is more than ample, even if you’re shit at golf!!
Not a Keis one, but a cheap Amazon Chinese job I bought to see if I would like them before buying something more expensive. The cheap one is fantastic so I haven’t replaced, although I do wonder whether it might set me on fire at some point .
How big are the battery packs on these ? I assume they go in a pocket or something and they stay in the jacket or vest and are charged with the battery in the jacket. Or do you remove the battery pack and then plug it back into the jacket once charged ?
Mine fits quite nicely into an inside pocket, it’s not capable of being charged and running without the pack.
I’ve had the Keis heated vest for a few years now and they work very well indeed. I plug mine into the bike rather than use batteries (Tiger 800, 900 and now the Transalp) and have only ever needed it set on low. (Has medium and high but high would be uncomfortably hot).
Also makes a good thermal vest to wear on it’s own, even when not plugged in
it doesn’t come with one so I had to buy one, you just buy the sort you’d use for charging a phone etc. price and size will vary on the power you get. Mine was quite powerful but still fits in the pocket
I’ve had one of their heated vests for over 5 years now. It’s a quality bit of kit, but if they’re still the same design they have elasticated sides and you need to get the right size (normally a smaller size than usual for a snug fit) if you buy from Sportsbikeshop they do free returns so you could order several sizes and send the ones back that don’t fit.
With that in mind, it might restrict your swing? I also have a cheapo heated gillet off amazon for golf which I bought in December 2022

Mine has a reflective lining so very often I don’t need it switched on at all as it reflects my own body heat. I also use 2 5000 mAh battery packs rather than bigger ones as the bigger ones are quite heavy and yiu know they’re in your pocket vs the smaller ones which are lighter and more comfortable. SWMBO had a 10000mAh battery pack which has ripped the lining in hers

Knowledgeable friendly and helpful.
Will let you know where I go with this.
I have a voucher for the Sportsbike shop from winning part of the photo competition…So may take a trip to them in Milton Keynes once they have landed.
I was due a voucher too, but it’s gone to the dogs…
We use Kemi-Moto battery powered vests. 2nd year using them and very happy with fit and performance. I think we paid around £40 for both from Amazon, but Ithink also available on ebay. The battery sits in a a pocket on the left, where the wires terminate into a suitable plug.Rose runs hers on Medium to Hot, I usually run mine on low. We swap batteries half way through the ride and can get about 8 hours per charge. Would buy again.
